Music made as part of my ongoing sound & movement collaboration, Motion.Captured.

The piece looks at the nature of presentness and the non-linear reality of memory. The sound here is created as a mashup of lots of unfinished pieces over the last few years, bunching together the memories and times which I've gone through in making them and grouping them together in a partly fluid, partly strict-rhythmed dance piece. The voice featured at the opening and ending is my reading of a poem about the nature of voice, which for me was one of the big turning points of the past five or six years of creating. The resonances within it, created through the same process as Alvin Lucier's 'I am Sitting In A Room', are gated into a rhythm which encapsulates this flow from past to present.
