My first professional design commission. I was asked to provide the sound of a man walking into the sea to drown himself, then getting pulled out by a passerby.

This is principally field recordings done especially at Crosby Beach near Liverpool with some effects off freesfx (the terrble dialogue at the beginning and a train passing). I took a couple of actors and a zoom. The beach is one of the bleakest places I've ever been. When the tide's low, all you can see for miles is grey sand with rusted Antony Gormley statues, and a military training ground some way off - you can hear muffled gunfire in the background.
